FlashDoctors

During my time at Target corporation I started an open source project called FlashDoctors. The project had the following goals:

  1. Make maintenance and deployment of 100’s of complex flash assets manageable for the Web Production team.
  2. Provide a shared set of code that Target, it’s agencies, and anyone else interested to build upon.
  3. Port concepts & work flows from the development community at large to Flash.

Near this same time, another developer started as well (Jonathan Doklovic), and together we started coding up a framework.

I started with the BeanContainer (borrowed from Spring in Java). This is used as a general purpose configuration mechanism.

Jonathan helped a ton with the build process, net and dose packages, and helping get our source control and deployment in line.
